Finningley Harriers football club has undergone a kit makeover at the hands of Acumen as they proudly carry the name on their shirts. Acumen have sponsored the Yorkshire-based team in line with our B.E.S.T scheme.
The B.E.S.T initiative is a vital part of Acumen’s commitment to the regions and communities it operates in. Developed by Acumen’s team, B.E.S.T. is ingrained in the company’s investment framework, encouraging sustainable community development. This initiative, focusing on buying, employing, supporting, and transforming (B.E.S.T), is executed within local communities, fostering continuous reinvestment and skill development for Acumen’s team. Already active in core regions, B.E.S.T aims to positively impact economies and communities, creating a mutually supportive relationship.
A key initiative within B.E.S.T is aligning social value with local community. The business is committed to providing tangible support to local people and organisations such as grassroot football clubs. A sense of responsibility for the environment and the communities in which we work have been part of our culture throughout our entire trading history. We always work in line with the highest levels of economic, environmental, and social responsibility. This extends to supporting Finningley Harriers in this example.
Matt Mears, Central Services General Manager at Acumen, and father of one of the team’s players comments “It is great to be able to provide this sort of financial support to this team who are going from strength to strength. Something I am proud of on several levels! This felt like a great opportunity to let our Corporate Social Responsibility scheme shine.”
The collaboration between Finningley Harriers and Acumen goes beyond a mere sponsorship deal; it symbolises the power of partnerships that prioritises community well-being. As the team proudly dons their new kits, the synergy between local businesses and grassroots sports inspires other organisations to follow suit.
