Acumen Waste Services Ltd (Acumen) today confirms that it has entered into a contract with the Environment Agency for the repatriation of illegally exported English waste from Poland.
With an anticipated commencement date in early 2019, approximately 4,000 tonnes of poorly sorted household and commercial waste, which is of a standard not suitable for recycling, will be repatriated back to England for either energy recovery or disposal depending on the suitability of the loads.
The estimated quantity of waste to be repatriated has been revised upwards following site visits carried out by the Polish Authorities, the Environment Agency and Acumen.
