Fly Tipping Removed for West Yorkshire Council
A West Yorkshire based Council contacted Acumen for the removal of two sixty-litre containers of what turned to be vegetable oil which had been illegally fly tipped on a semi-rural road. Within four hours of the issue being brought to our attention, Acumen had dispatched a team our experts who assessed the situation, priced our services, and removed the illegally dumped oil from the area.

Acumen Secures Total Waste Management for Paper Sack Manufacturer
Acumen was recently awarded a total waste management contract by one the UK’s leading paper sack companies. With this particular contract Acumen undertook a comprehensive site visit and full site audit This allowed our team to assess the needs of the client and made suggestions to improve efficiencies. We perform this service for every new client, ensuring all of our client’s needs are met and that we can perform our role as efficiently as possible. On this occasion we provided testing on the client’s ‘filtercake’ material which had not previously been tested and was disposed of under the wrong EWC code.
After checking the analysis, our expert technical team were able to reclassify the waste and locate a code-compliant disposal route.
Despite offers to the company at more competitive prices, the client was impressed with the direct approach, technical knowledge and efficiencies demonstrated by our team, resulting in Acumen securing total waste management for the plant.
