ClearWater Water Recycling Systems has just returned from another fantastic year at the BTME – Europe’s premier turf management exhibition. Held at the Harrogate Convention Centre, North Yorkshire, from 20th to 22nd January, BTME showcases the latest advancements in turf technology and addresses the industry’s biggest challenges.
Water Conservation in Turf Management
Water conservation is an ever-growing concern for turf managers and sports facilities. At ClearWater, we have been at the forefront of tackling this issue with our innovative water recycling system. Our system recycles and reuses greywater, significantly reducing the need for fresh water, cutting water bills, and enhancing the quality and longevity of playing surfaces.
For years, we have exhibited at BTME, proudly presenting our washpad water recycling systems. These below-ground, biological washpad water recycling solutions are ideal for greenkeeping and grounds maintenance. Using harmless micro-organisms, our system effectively cleans contaminated water from washdown areas, requiring minimal maintenance and boasting exceptionally low running costs.
A Standout Event with Incredible Engagement
BTME is one of our favourite events of the year, providing a unique opportunity to catch up with our customers and connect with new ones. The 2025 exhibition was a resounding success, attracting over 4,000 visitors and offering more educational opportunities than ever before.
Our stand featured the ClearWater demo kit, which generated significant interest and allowed us to showcase our latest products, including our skill kits. Over the course of the 2.5-day event, we received a record number of enquiries about our products and engaged in insightful conversations about hazardous waste collections with a diverse range of attendees—from groundskeepers and greenkeepers to educational institutions, machinery dealers, and local authorities.
Highlights from BTME 2025
With so many great moments at the event, it’s hard to pick favourites, but here are a couple of standout moments:
Prize Draw Winner: Lee Park Golf Club
We ran an exclusive prize draw for a chance to win a ClearWater system. The lucky winner was Jon McMullen, Course Manager at Lee Park Golf Club. The system, valued at £9,300, will provide the club with long-term savings through its cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
Talking Turf with Scott McCallum
We also had the pleasure of talking with Scott McCallum from Turf Managers Magazine to discuss the show, the latest industry trends, and the importance of water conservation in turf management.
Looking Ahead
BTME 2025 was another brilliant experience, and we are already looking forward to next year’s event! Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, took part in our prize draw, and showed interest in our water recycling solutions.
