Acumen is committed to providing ongoing training and support to all staff members, and this was epitomised last week with a training and development day, delivered by the Queens Own Yeomanry at our headquarters in Knottingley.

Staff members were split in to small groups and then spent time working on their thinking skills, team work, observation and communication, undertaking challenges to test the afore mentioned areas.

Highlights of the day included finding out about the equipment used in military combat, as well as working out who the natural leaders are within the business, especially when completing a task of moving 5 tyres in order, one at a time to a new designated cone.

Speaking about the day, Marketing and Group Sales Manager Ben Dudley said: “Acumen has always been committed to the improved performance of our team and we would like to thank the Queen’s Own Yeomanry for providing a day filled with tasks and activities to challenge both the physical and mental aspects of our team. Everyone had a wonderful time and I am hoping the skills people have learned on the day can translate in to the day to day working environment.”

Everyone at Acumen would like to thank the men from the Queen’s Own Yeomanry for their time and providing such an engaging day. Pictures can be found at: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/a5scn7yvq0ctnwr/AADB1etmznRqIyLjoOQxDVOga?dl=0
