Here at Acumen Waste Services, we understand and recognise the importance of valuing our staff members, including those who have been with us for a long period of time and have supported the business throughout many periods.

We would like to take this opportunity to recognise some of our long serving members of staff, and thank them for their continued support, hard work and commitment to Acumen over the years.

Maureen Davis and Andrew Leigh celebrate 23 years at Acumen Waste Services, in the roles of Invoice Clerk and Technical Support respectively. Having been with Acumen since the very beginning, Maureen and Andrew have seen the many changes Acumen have taken throughout the years, including the renaming of the company from Limpia, and our expansion to multiple offices.

Dave Stokes has been with Acumen for 14 years in the role as Operations Manager. Overseeing our specialist Industrial Services Divison, which has expanded immensely in his time at the company, Dave is an integral part of our company and brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge.

Russell Pryor and Alan Standing celebrate 13 years with the company part of our Administration team and as an Industrial Site Services Supervisor. Russell has followed the company from our original base in Stockton, to support the Administration function in our Head Office in Knottingley, and his long-term knowledge of the company has proved vital during the transition periods when modernizing the company. Alan has worked his way through the Industrial Site Services Division, starting as an Operative in 2004. Now in charge of a number of Operatives, Alan is a welcomed part of the Industrial Site Services management team.

Finally, Graham Mills joined Acumen back in 2005 as a Hazardous Waste Specialist, and now celebrates his twelfth year in the company. Having a fantastic knowledge of the waste industry in general, Graham’s talents lie within the Hazardous Waste arena, which is why we are thrilled to have such an oracle of knowledge leading our Business Development Executives towards expanding our market share within this particular area of the industry, whilst gaining mentoring and learning opportunities from an experienced figure in the waste industry.

The Board of Directors wish to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the long serving members of staff for their hard work and commitment to Acumen over the years.

We look forward to recognising more of our staff as the years, and the company, progress!
